Time Reporting Practices
This message is on behalf of Kem Robinson.
It is every employee's responsibility to account for and certify that his or her own effort is charged to the correct project ID - and to do so on time.
In addition, each supervisor must certify/approve the accuracy of the time and effort entered by his or her direct report.
It is a best practice to do so electronically via LETS. When this is not possible, the supervisor must sign a hard copy time sheet produced by our electronic timekeeping system (LETS).
It is essential that you, as a supervisor, make sure that your direct reports are aware of these requirements and that they are reporting their time correctly.
The Laboratory will continue to send reminders to all employees to enter their on a weekly or monthly basis. Supervisors will receive reminders to approve the time.
This is a serious matter and all supervisors and employees are expected to take action that is consistent with Laboratory policy. The Laboratory will monitor time and reporting to ensure that all effort is entered correctly and properly certified.
Policy and Procedure for Reporting Effort may be found here.
